
Climate in Poland is continental, but changes rapidly due to the influence of three elements : - Oceanic air masses coming from west. - Cold air masses coming from Scandinavia and Russia. - Warm and wet air coming from the mediterranean sea.
6 different seasons and half-seasons can be distinguished:

January - February. Snowy winter.
Temperature then is most of time lower than 0 °C (32 °F) and weather is clear. Perfect for winter sports!

March - April. Before spring.
Alternating sunny and rainy days.

May - June. Explosive and sunny spring.
Temperature often goes up from 5-10 °C (41- 50 °F) to 20 or 25°C (68 or 77 °F) within a few days.

July - August. A warm summer.
A 30 °C (86°F) temperature is very common.

September - October. Golden autumn (Polska złota jesien).
Golden trees and mederate temperature.

November- December. Autumn.
Rainy, foggy and fresh weather preceding winter.
Précipitations
Dans la plaine au centre et au nord du pays, les précipitations sont d'environ 450 mm par an. Dans les montagnes, les précipitations sont d'environ 850 mm, essentiellement de la neige en hiver.
En Pologne on trouve des ours bruns à l'etat sauvage. Il fait beaucoup trop chaud pour les ours blancs! |
